The general basic code is used to indicate the inner diameter, diameter series, width series and type of the bearing model, up to five digits, as follows:
1. The inner diameter of the bearing is indicated by the first code and the H digit of the basic code from the right.
For a common inner diameter d = 20 ~ 480mm bearing inner diameter is generally a multiple of 5, these two digits represent the quotient of the bearing inner diameter size divided by 5, such as 04 for d = 20mm; 12 for d = 60mm and so on. For bearings with inner diameters of 10 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, and 17 mm, the inner diameter codes are 00, 01, 02, and 03 in order. For bearings with an inner diameter of less than 10 mm and greater than 500 mm, the inner diameter representation method is otherwise specified, see GB/T272-93.
2. The diameter series of the bearing is represented by the third digit from the right of the basic code.
For example, for a radial bearing and a radial thrust bearing, 0, 1 denotes an extra-light series; 2 denotes a light series; 3 denotes a middle series; 4 denotes a heavy series. The thrust bearing is identical to the indication of the radial bearing except that the 1 indicates the extra-light series.
3. The width series of the bearing is represented by the fourth digit from the right of the basic code.
When the comparison of the width and diameter series is 0 series, the width series code O may not be marked in the code for most bearings, but for spherical roller bearings and tapered roller bearings, the width series code 0 shall be marked. The diameter series code and width series code are collectively referred to as the size series code.

Fracture failure of ferrules is generally less common and is often caused by sudden overloads. 3. The channel is peeled off at a symmetrical position in the circumferential direction:

The symmetrical position spalling shows that the inner ring is spalled around the inner ring, and the outer ring is peeled off in a circumferentially symmetric position (ie, the short axis direction of the ellipse). The reason for this is mainly because the outer hole of the outer shell is too large or the two half are separated. This is particularly evident in camshaft bearings for motorcycles. When the needle bearing is pressed into the elliptical housing hole or the two halves are fastened, the outer ring of the Endian bearing is elliptical, and the clearance in the short axis direction is significantly reduced or even negative.

Under the action of the load, the inner ring rotates to produce circumferential peeling marks, and the outer ring only produces peeling marks at the symmetrical position in the short axis direction. This is the main reason for the early failure of the bearing. After testing the failure of the bearing, the roundness of the outer diameter of the bearing has been changed from 0.8μm to 27μm. This value is much larger than the radial clearance value. Therefore, it can be confirmed that the bearing is working under severe deformation and negative play, and it is easy to form abnormal sharp wear and peeling at the early stage. The countermeasures taken are to improve the machining accuracy of the outer casing hole or to use the two-half separation structure of the outer casing hole as much as possible.
